I had a Sharper Image shower radio for years and it finally died. I searched and found the Sony. It has a much better AM and FM receiver than the Sharper Image did. I do not use the CD part but it is there just in case I ever need it.
This radio is exactly what I wanted. Digital tuner and presets on the radio so I don't have to spend time searching for the station I want. The buttons for radio, CD player, on, off, and the presets are raised so I can feel for them without my glasses ( which I rarely have in the bathroom). All operations are intuitive and the sound is good.
I have two of the Sony shower CD/radios and both have worked perfectly. My first one is now 2 years old and works great. I have had two other brands and neither worked as well as the Sony. The only drawback is that you can't access the CD from the front.
The sound is great, not one bit of distortion no matter where the volume knob is. I bought this radio around the first of the year and have been enjoying my morning shower with great radio ever since. The digital tuner pulls in everything I want to listen to and stores stations in its memory with ease. my girl friend plays CD's in it every morning as well and has no complaints. to top it all off its still rocking along with its original set of batteries after 3 months of everyday use.
Thanks to Sean for this recommendation. This clock radio cd player rocks. The wife loved it as her Christmas present. Wonderful sound and seems to be put together well.
